Rotary Club of Nova Ceylon

The foundation of the Rotary Club of Nova Ceylon was born from a shared conviction: that youth leadership in service and seasoned fellowship in Rotary should be seamless, energized, and ambitious.

In astronomy, a “Nova” is the sudden emergence of a brilliant new star. For our members, the name encapsulates our ambition to shine a fresh, vibrant light — championing transparency, technological adoption, and impactful community drives that address root causes.

Under the guidance of senior Rotary mentors, the club was officially chartered with Rotary International in 2025, uniting young professionals across medicine, legal practice, software engineering, finance, management, and the creative industries.

The Inception & Founding Assembly

Emerging leaders and young professionals convene in Colombo to design an agile, digitally enabled Rotary club bridging youth energy with professional philanthropy.

Official Rotary International Charter

Rotary International officially grants the club charter, marking a major milestone for youth-led Rotary leadership.

Nova Ceylon was created with a simple idea: to give young people a place to connect, grow, lead, and make a difference.

As our second President, I am proud to continue building on the foundation laid during our first year. At the heart of Nova Ceylon is our role as a catalyst for young leadership by creating a space where emerging leaders can take their next step, expand their networks, discover new opportunities, and contribute to bigger initiatives that create meaningful impact.
